Your Company QMS will state the regularity of calibration however most types of equipment are calibrated every 12 months.
Many companies require calibration as per their Quality System this ensures that all equipment is calibrated on a regular basis maintaining the optimum performance of that equipment helping meet their customer specifications/demands and support all documentation requirements.
In general use, calibration is often regarded as including the process of adjusting the output to agree with value of the applied/manufacturer’s standard, within a specified accuracy.
Typical Operation of M200 Welding Power Supply calibration is:
- Current - Calibration to ensure proper current output.#
- Voltage - Adjustments to match actual values with expected values.
- Travel Speed - Electrode travel speed is verified and adjusted real-time via the M200 operating software. This verification is documented on the calibration certificate.
During calibration/repair all equipment is checked for up-grades and if necessary up-graded optimising performance/reliability. (Most up-grades are none chargeable)
